This article will teach you how to troubleshoot issues that prevent an order from generating in Supplyit.
Overview
Blackout adjustments, missing quantities in an order template, template dates, and kitchen rules are all common factors that could prevent an order from generating.
Prerequisites
Workflow Navigation: If you use Workflow navigation, click Activities above the left menu before starting.
Troubleshooting Steps
1. Check Blackout Adjustments
Click Activities -> Orders in the left navigation menu.
Select the Adjustments tab at the top of the screen.
Check if a -100% adjustment is listed for the target order date.
If a blackout adjustment exists, click Edit to the right of the entry and adjust the end date.
Click Save Changes.
Locked Status Note: If the status displays Locked: Yes and the Save Changes button does not appear, your supplier has locked the adjustment. Contact your supplier directly to update the end date.
2. Check Order Template Quantities
Click Activities -> Orders in the left navigation menu.
Select the Templates tab.
Click Edit to the right of the relevant template.
Verify whether quantities are entered for the target day of the week.
If quantities are missing, enter the amounts and click Save Changes.
3. Check Template Start Dates
Click Activities -> Orders in the left navigation menu.
Select the Templates tab.
Click Edit to the right of the relevant template.
Scroll to the right within the template editor.
Check if the start dates are set to a future date relative to your target order date.
If the start date is in the future, adjust the date and click Save Changes.
4. Check Template End Dates
Click Activities -> Orders in the left navigation menu.
Select the Templates tab.
Click Edit to the right of the relevant template.
Scroll to the right within the template editor.
Check if the end dates are set to a past date relative to your target order date.
If an end date has passed, delete the end date and click Save Changes.
5. Check for Supplier Rules
Click Activities -> Orders in the left navigation menu.
Select the Templates tab.
Click Edit to the right of the relevant template.
Look for yellow caution signs under the quantity boxes for all products on the desired delivery day.
If caution signs appear, your kitchen has established a rule that prevents delivery on that day. Contact your supplier for assistance.
Tips & Next Steps
Supplier Processing: If you have resolved these template issues (or found no errors) and orders still will not generate, your supplier may have already processed or closed orders for that date. Contact your supplier directly to request changes.
